  Fall 2011 Planning for Technology Plans (July 1, 2012 - June 30, 2015) PDF
The Vermont Department of Education has begun the process of updating Technology Plans for both the State and for local schools. The technology plan process is important for schools that seek E-rate reimbursements on their telecommunications bills. It is also a planning document that the Vermont Department of Education highly recommends for schools as they consider their technology programs over the next three year period. A process is underway to move the technology plan submission to an online system. This should be in place by January of 2012. In the meantime, the instructions that are being disseminated give solid guidance for schools to keep in compliance with E-rate rules as we move into a new E-rate funding year.

State Master Contract For Broadband Services from Education Networks of America (ENA) PDF
The Vermont Department of Education embarked upon its own state-level 470 process in the Spring of 2011 on behalf of all schools in the state. This process resulted in Education Networks of America (ENA) being selected to provide broadband access for schools that wish to avail themselves of the service.

Schools do not need to file their own 470 if they choose to avail themselves of ENA’s services under this contract. The VTDOE’s 470 that was filed in Spring 2011 can be referenced for this purpose. Information necessary for the filing of schools 471 forms is below:
