NEW ENGLAND COMMON ASSESSMENT PROGRAM (NECAP):
RELEASED TEST ITEMS & SUPPORT MATERIALS

Each year, 25% or more of the NECAP reading, mathematics, writing and science test items will be released for professional development, program planning and communication with parents and community. Included are scoring rubrics, student work samples and other support materials. The following released items are available:
- 2011 NECAP Released Test Items & Support Materials
- Past NECAP Released Test Items & Support Materials
NOTE: The NECAP Released Items and Practice Tests are made available to the public each year for a variety of uses, both private and commercial. However, the following restrictions apply:
1. Literary and informational passages used in reading and writing items are copyrighted and used on the NECAP tests through a contractual agreement with publishers. Individuals intending to use NECAP released items for commercial purposes are advised to obtain permission from publishers to use any copyrighted materials.
2. Any use of NECAP items should cite the New England Common Assessment Program as the source.
